What to Look for When Purchasing An Used Differential?

When your automobile’s differential becomes defective, and needs to be replaced, purchasing an OEM Factory Used Differential for your vehicle can be a smart decision.  If not restricted by cost or current availability, purchasing a new factory differential from the manufacture can be a great option. 

What to Expect From Your Free Quote ?
  • Contact a Customer Service Rep and provide your Year… Make… Model…  VIN Number and location we will be shipping to.
    • Our used-differentials Customer Service Representative will research your vehicle and find the Exact Differential Part number that your automobile was built with.
    •  The Customer Service Rep will then search through warehouses throughout North America to find the best part for your vehicle.
    • Then the used-differentials representative will contact you and provide a Free Price and Availability Quote.
    •  You place your order with your Customer Service Representative. They will place your order and work with the used-differentials shipping department to arrange the delivery of your differential to your automotive repair shop.
    • Our team will monitor the shipping and delivery of your replacement differential to your mechanic.
How to Handle Delivery of Your Differential?

There are several things to consider when purchasing a replacement differential for your automobile

  • Order the Correct Part the First Time
  • Provide your Year… Make… Model… VIN Number
  • Try to find a vendor that Includes Delivery in their price
  • Make sure the vendor will Cover the Shipping Costs if the part sent is Defective… or Not what you ordered
  • Know the Commercial Address of your Repair Shop

Depending on your vehicle make and model… Differentials are a Very Heavy and Bulky part to ship.  You will want to order the correct part the first time.  You can dramatically increase your odds of receiving the correct differential for your application by providing your Year… Make… Model… and most importantly, your VIN Number.  This will allow your vendor to locate and ship the exact part you need.

Shipping a differential can cost hundreds of dollars.  Finding a vendor that includes delivery can usually save you money.  It will reduce the hassle and potential problems you may run into.  Reputable vendors usually have their own shipping departments.  They will have a shipping expert with relationships with various shipping companies.  They will know which shippers offer the best price based on the size, weight, warehouse location being shipped from, and the location of the repair shop that will be doing your installation. 

You will be responsible for ordering the correct differential for your vehicle.  But you will want your vendor to cover the shipping if they send either the wrong part… or a defective part!  It does not happen very often, but when it does it can become very expensive… FAST!  The first part will have to be shipped back.  Then another differential will need to be shipped out.  That is THREE Shipping Fees!  On a Big… Heavy… and sometimes bulky part.  Those three shipping fees can sometimes cost nearly as much as the cost of the differential itself.  Again, you will want to get it correct the first time.

You will also want to have an accurate commercial address for your repair shop.  This will also go a long way to make sure your differential is shipped as efficiently as possible.  Both in overall shipping costs… and the speed at which the vendor can get used differential for sale in USA to your repair shop and get you back on the road.
